Q7 Q7 Transmission Cooler valve fault

Hi Folks,

Got a fult code pop up on the Q7 a few days ago. Its says that my Transmision Cooler valve is short to ground. (Fault code P2754)

I have tralled the web for hours with no joy. we also spend a good hour under the car looking for any valve of sens or relating to the oil cooling circuit.

Why would the fault code say short to ground when the valve doesn't have any sensor ?

I've taken apart all the harness conection to the gear box and sprayed them and still the error code. The temp sensor for the gear box is located on top of the gear box. If i delete the fault code when the car is running it dont come back but when i start the engine it will.

Hi,
I believe it might be too late but check this solenoid: Component 27 on the diagram.
The code refers to the transmission cooling circuit but it does not state the temperature of the ATF. It is antifreeze control solenoid for the transmission cooling circuit. Part number 4H0121671D.
Audi released a technical bulletin for the fault of this component, but usually it comes up with the code 2753 or 2755.

I have a 2012 8 Speed Q7 , and got the errorr P2754 for a year . experiencing same as you . when I clear the fault the Auto start stop and Cruse control workes . when the engine lite come back with Gearbox malfunction both Cruse and Start stap function will be disabled as well , at the same time gear box performance will be limited ... .. They suggest to replace the sensor board in the gearbox , I dont want to touch the gear box unless I am 100% sure its the right foult
