so I've made a very stupid mistake and put £15 worth of petrol in my diesel 2.0tdi

i was in a mad rush and filled the car with diesel after

I'd get the fuel tank drained completely, refill with a full tank of diesel and it should be alright after that.

No need to drain.

Use up a quarter of a tank and brim with diesel again and repeat next quarter.

Yes as Gaz says, no harm is done, if it was the other way round though & you put diesel in a petrol then your in trouble.

2 Options then.
1 Drain the tank and fuel system new fuel filter.
2 Keep topping the tank up and it will get better as it dilutes.
