I haven't got a psn screen name at the moment because i can't seem to get mine connected. Maybe someone can help....

I have the ps3 connected to my pc with an ethernet cable and it says it's connected but i can't seem to get online on the ps3. Any ideas?

The PS3 needs to be connected to the network rather than the PC. If you have a wireless router it should automatically find the network. If you have a wired connection the PS3 will need to connected to the wall socket via the ethernet cable i.e. If you only have one internet connection the cable which usually connects to your PC will need to be connected to the PS3.

I would suggest getting wireless if you dont already have it. Lots of Internet providers give free frouters now. I have one from Sky.

I would say hard wire connect to your PS3 instead of wireless. This way ur keep up with 'realtime' better, wireless tends to be slower and ur wonder why your shot 1st etc;. I'm with Virgin so I contacted them and they supplied me with a router and cable (the router conects to the modem, wire connects to router and the other end goes in back of PS3).

Nope. 1st one i updated to 2.43. Then it wouldn't play any games cds dvd/blueray dvd.
So sony sent me a new one (refurbished) sorry cant spell.
went to put game for first time made loads grinding sounds.
wouldn't take a disk. That was 2nd one

worked fine for hour. Now disk wont come out or play it.
