Hi, just wondering who has pre-ordered a PS3? Do you think it'll live up to expectations?

search on the internet!! Id say it would yeah! im pre ordering about 5 or 6, then will flog them on ebay, keep on for myself which will hopfully be free due to profit made on the others i sell!

20GB WILL BE ROUGHTLY 450 AND 60GB WILL BE ROUGHLY 500. BUT EXPECT THE CONSOLES TO SELL FOR OVER 800 ON EBAY. I BOUGHT A 360 ON RELEASE DAY AND THEY WERE GOING FOR OVER 700 JUST FOR A CORE PACK. PS3'S HAVE MORE HYPE AND MORE GAMERS TEND TO GO FOR SONY AS THEY HAVE A BETTER GAMING EXPERIENCE. ANYONE NOTICED THE VERY PC-LIKE FEEL TO THE 360??

I CAN GAURANTEE THE PS3 WILL HAVE A MUCH LARGER IMPACT ON THE MARKET. I CAN SAY THIS AS THERE IS ONE SITTING INFRONT OF ME NOW I HAVE "RESISTANCE: FALL OF MAN" AND IT IS PRETTY AWESOME. LOTS OF NICE WEAPONS TO BLAST AWAY WITH.

ANYONE THAT WANTS TO MAKE SOME SERIOUS MONEY ON RELEASE DATE SHOULD PM ME. HOPEFULLY (A BIG HOPE) I WILL BE GETTING A LARGE BATCH OF 60GB UNITS SOON (WITHIN 2 WEEKS). THESE WILL FLOG FOR 800 EASILY.

ALSO I HAVE TWO 20GB CURRENTLY FOR SALE.

Its hardly groundbreaking though.

Seen much better graphics on the 360, but i suppose it takes developers time to get to grips with the hardware.

Yeah they have been available here in Dubai for a while can get a 60gb one for less than £300 from a couple places

Ive pre ordered 8 to flog on ebay.

I know its not a very nice thing to do, but i owe lots on credit cards and see it as the only way out of this mess ive got into.

Not keeping one for myself because imo a flashed xbox 360 is far better, with the whole xbox live thing etc.

Got a feeling there not gunna sell out though, and will be stuck with a load of PS3s though!

Going to take the risk though.

I have pre-ordered 1, i really want it, but I'm royally skint atm (gotta pay 800 quid for insurance and 200 quid for my loan at the end of the month) so may sell it on ebay, although i will feel bad if I do!

I have pre ordered one from Argos as soon as they went on pre-order but will there really be a shortage like there was on the Wii ?

Not getting one till theres decent games lined up. Haven't seen anything on it or coming soon that looks good enough to warrant getting it. Its no more powerful than the 360, lacks live and is missing some killer exclusive titles, plus its much more expensive. Sony have some work to do this time round.

Overpriced tat. Sony have shown themselves to be quite retarded recently. I'll stick with my 360 unless somthing incredible comes out, which I dont see happening for a good few years.

And their multiplayer stuff will be ****. Looks like a badly ripped off Xbox live

You`ll be lucky to get one very soon if you didnt pre-order before christmas, and Europe is the last priority for Sony atm. So I say stick two fingers at em and buy a 360.
A great HD ready machine that does the biz without the hassle and major expense of a machine thats gonna be scarce for a long period of time.

And to anyone that was into PS1 and PS2, who *coff* used pirated software should avoid PS3 if they think its gonna be the same (thats roughly 99% of people I know that use Pirate discs) Blu-Ray is really expensive and apparently unstable at the moment.

Also, Microsoft seems to believe the schedule for release of the PS3 is way off what sony are sayin, and this comes from sources close to Sony.
Thats why MS are still keeping their Ace up their sleeve and waiting on the global release for Halo 3 on Europes PS3 launch.

Nevermind still loving my 360 for COD 3 and Fifa 07 on Live!

there are still lots of PS3s available to preorder with guaranteed stock for launch day in the UK at HMV and many other electrical stores. This probably means the demand has been less than anticipated or it is overpriced and nobody wants one at the moment.

I have a 360 and would get a PS3 on launch if it had any good must have games but it doesnt. Its just like the PS2 launch, no qulaity games, sony just trying to make money without putting in the effort for the consumers and supplying killer must have games.

My mate is a big sony fan and says if the sold SH*T on a stick people would pay for it as it has the sony name. They are getting lazy I think. I'm not shelling out until they show me some decent titles that justify getting one over my 360.

not gonna buy one of these yet because there arent any games I must have. When GT5 and Wipeout arrive then i'll be havin one.

Walked into Comet and was greeted by this young guy with a big ginger beard who told me the graphics were at least 5 x better than the 360. What a stupid thing to say! I didnt bother to question him how they had worked this out. THey had 10 units for sale and had sold 14 according to mr beard. Good to know they are available but I'm not ready to get one yet. Still enjoying the 360 lots!

I have two PS3s. One for myself and one to sell on, if anyone is interested in buying it before I put it on fleabay, drop me a line.

I have to say that I am chuffed with it. It's all connected up to the internet and stuff, I even downloaded GT HD Concept and it is pretty damn good.

Typically, I do my gaming on a pc with a decent graphics card, but the PS3 is something else. The only downside so far is the "SixAxis" controller is a bit gimicy, if you ask me.
