Prospective Owner Advice

Hi All, I'd be grateful if someone may be able to give me some real world experiences/advice to help sway a potential purchase decision.

So, I'm in the market for an A4 Avant... I was originally looking for a B8 but a B7 has popped up locally that has taken my interest. It's a 2007 2.0tdi automatic S-Line in very nice condition, 2 owner, 100k miles and it's half the price of a B8.

My question is, how wary should I be of this engine and gearbox combination? Is it likely going to be false economy in the long run and would I be better off with a B8 as a reliable daily driver?

All thoughts would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Think most would agree this is the main issue with b7s
