Problems after Walnut Blast

Hi all.
I have a 2l TSFI Quattro sportback special edition.
It was running fine but has done 90k miles and hasn’t been decoked so took it to SD Autotech to have a walnut blast. When I went to collect it they said that it had lost power and they couldn’t put their finger on it why. It was coming up with some fuel error codes too. Don’t know which ones
After having it for a couple of days they said that they had to replace the high pressure fuel pump and that sorted it. Cost me an extra £120 on top of the walnut blast!

after driving it over the weekend it felt a bit too revvy and losing a lot of acceleration when foot off the accelerator (more than usual).
Then yesterday it lost all power on me and I pulled over and it cut out completely. It wouldn’t start and just turned over but not starting.
Today I went to it to have it towed back to the garage and it started fine and I drove it there where it is now? Anyone know what’s going on?
Cheers.

Sorry. As you can tell I don’t know anything about cars! I know it’s got the mk5 golf engine (EA113) and I’ll try and find out what the fault codes were. It’s recently had oil filter, oil fuel filter, new pcv valve new hpfp, new cam follower and air filter but that was all done a few months ago and was running fine. Literally went in for a walnut blast and it’s playing up? But ****** off having to fork out extra money.

Ok, to try and help... as NHN stated, you need engine fault codes. You can ask them what the codes are or you can find someone around you that has a VCDS cable. The location of many can be found in the sticky above your thread. I advise you to purchase a Ross Tech cable as this will help you and the forum considerably going forward. Without this information, no one will be able to help you and this exercise will be futile

I'm wondering if the walnut blast has caused any crap to enter into the fuel system somehow, did they remove the intake, how did they do the blast, its just a little too coincidental & they are fully responsible to fix it tbh given it was ok before they touched it

The garage is responsible for resolving this issue. If they did a walnut blast they would have taken the manifold off - I’m assuming they’ve replaced the runner flaps, new gaskets etc. Did they remove the injectors or clean with them in?

Codes would help if you can provide them.
