Pressure washer

for the poll - was thinking maybe a good idea for others who are looking also for a new jetwash / pressure washer which ones are recommended

Had a Bosch pressure washer for about 5+ yrs and its starting to fail.

Before this detailing - I went into local DIY stores and got one, now that I am into this more and looking to use the jetwash more, I am looking at commerical ones but not sure which make, model and if commerical if over kill...

Only condition is has the adjustable pressure settings and of course, I think is recommended are brass pumps.

I have also been looking at hot pressure washers, but maybe abit over the top for me - I know Polished Bliss recommend hot for washing car..?

I am looking to use this weekly Sat & Sun.

i had a bosch aquathingy gave it back after using it 2 times didnt feel like it would last. since i got a karcher mine is just a small K1 seris but still going strong, easier to get parts

got my Karcher from Ebay seller who deals in Karchers and reconditioned units, it came with years guarantee I've had it just over 3 years now, and it was 1/3rd of the price or a new one!

Higher end Karcher or maybe the pro Kew-Alto models. They have replaceable seals in the pumps etc so as such are not disposable like most of the "cheaper" ones.

Look at litres per min, not always pressure. It will give you more of an idea how much water you can flow. Like a car battery, they re all 12 volt, but different Amps/power rating. Ie one for a 1 litre saxo prob would even turn a larger diesel car over due to lack of power reserve

Oh and most washers are good to take up to 60 degress hot water anyway,provididng you can provide enough water to make it worth connection to the washer

Buckas - this is what I heard that the Kranzle are one of the best to get but no votes and don't know anyone who has one, even PolishedBliss uses a Karcher.

At home I use a Karcher K3.70, while at work we have a Karcher HDS601ECO hot water unit. For home use, smaller units like the Karcher K2.xx and K3.xx series models are ideal, offering reasonable performance for relatively little outlay. My last domestic Karcher unit lasted five years, while the new one is going strong two years in, so I'm happy enough with reliability to date. When it comes to work, only the best will do, and the Karcher HDS series units are simply awesome - when I can afford one for home I will be getting one! So, my advice is to spend relatively little for home use, unless you are minted, in which case a hot water unit is well worth consideration. Of course, others look at these things differently, and a lot of enthusiasts currently seem to be spending £500-£600 on really high quality Kranzle units and the like. Granted the quality is top notch, but these units are still only putting out cold water, so is the extra few hundred quid justified? I struggle to believe this, but as I said, each to their own.
