pre facelift S3 Lower door trim

I have a year 2000 S3 and had an accident and damaged the passenger door. The guy who is repainting it has told me
the lower trim which runs along the bottom of the door is damaged and needs replacing. The drivers side one looks like it has
some sort of bubbles coming through where it connected to the car.

I have decided to replace both sides and rang the stealers up and they want £220 + vat per trim. I have decided to look on ebay etc and was wondering if the A3 is the same as the S3 or are they differant ?.

I'm not 100% sure but I think they are the same trims. Check with the stealer first though. I they are the same then it'll be easier to find some 2nd hand.

A3 trims are different to S3 trims... I'd check the classifieds to see if anyone is breaking an S3 and see if you can grab some from there...

Damn it! I originally put that they were different but then changed it. Thought I'd answer the question any old how as we were being accused of being cliquey!
