Pre coil pack failure symptoms?

Well as some of you will know i had a coil pack give up on me yesterday... i had to unplug the injector and drive about a mile to pick up the new one... All sorted now...
To be honest the car did feel a little down on power and slower to pull , It feels great again now but is it just the plasibo (sp*) effect?
I thought they either worked or didnt??

Its the same placebo as the hype behind the TFSI coils I reckon... fresh coils, stronger spark, more effective burn... arguably...

TBH... my car always feels faster after spending some time driving my Mk2 Golf... soon get used to it... ;P

My Audi always feels slow to pull away when ive spent time in my golf ...
Well ive replaced 3 out of the 4 coils now so i may aswel finish the set ?
