Power steering problem need help!!

My 2003 2.0 TDI Sport has just lost all power steering with the red steering wheel dash light on constantly. Plugged in the VCDS and the fault is coming back as the power steering control unit will not respond. Checked all the fuses and they are all good.

What's next guys!?? Any help will be greatly appreciated as need to get this sorted asap!!

Does anyone know if you can simply change the control module on the steering rack if they have the same part number? Will it still need coding to the car or will the replacement part work fine with no coding?

Will a 2006 steering rack fit and be compatible with my 2004?
