Power steering fluid...what is best?

Hi,
I wanted to check what is the most ideal/best power steering fluid to put in my a4? Ive got a 2005 a4 dtm edition.

Would appreciate any advice on this.

Hi Hoosay,

There is only one fluid to use and that is the dedicated power steering fluid from Audi.

I know it may seem ridiculous but other power steering fluids have and can cause damage to your system.

You can get the fluid direct from TPS or from your local Audi dealer.

The care on the lid under the hood suggests G00 2000, but this is the older fluid and has been revised and is now referred to G00 4000m2.

Its around £10 for a 1litre bottle which will be enough for a basic flush which is usually sufficient otherwise if you doing a full flush ill suggest getting 2 bottles. That way you can always return the other if u don't use it.

Cheers for that Giosabcsl i did think this was the case but wanted to make sure.

First audi i have owned and its just in the garage now.
