Power, mods,specs, remapper and graphs!

Another happy R-Tech customer with Stage 2+ & DSG remap today - 360bhp and 392ftlb
Milltek TBE, Revo CAI, RS4 PRV, Autotech HPFP, Rev G diverter valve
Previous map was an unknown - felt noticeably quicker than 260bhp but a load better now.
Good looking figures must drive like a beast. How does the DSG map feel can you notice difference in Auto mode?

I haven't noticed a huge difference in the shifting behaviour but then I have yet to get some spirited driving opportunity, I think clamping pressures are significantly increased to cope with the extra torque & I expect it laucnhes pretty well! I was hoping to take it round 3 sisters kart track this afternoon but they had stopped the track day early due to heavy rain (which would not have bothered me!) so I'll have to settle for rwd fun in the rally car tomorrow :)

Well I'm sure your gonna have to hold on tight when you eventually get it out!!

Just back from getting my 2008 S3 custom mapped, was originally 227 bhp.

My question is how much can I push it and not blow up the engine or bend the rods?

Nikki at R-Tech is the man to go to if you want the best out of your 2L TFSI. The indepth pre-health check is outstanding, I've not seen or heard of any other tuner/garage being anywhere near as thorough or comprehensive with theirs, let alone the after care and time taken to explain everything as well answer any questions I had.

I got 366bhp and 415ftlbs with the below related mods, Nikki said an uprated intercooler and cat-back would see 380bhp in mine (which I didn't need to hear haha!). To say I'm impressed with the whole team and service is an understatement, to have over 350bhp from 4.4 to 7.2K RPM is incredible but most importantly, it drives amazing and pulls like a train.

The 5mm drill out mod can be done on the OEM HPFP brass fittings when an Autotech HPFP internals is used because like you say it assists with the fueling from the LPFP, this mod is done as standard on the LOBA HPFP which consists of both the internals and housing.

NGK BKR7EIX are a very popular choice, I am running 8's which run a little cooler with no issue even in the depths of winter - suggest you go with the advice of your engine builder / mapper.

I didn't expect it. This map should make it up to 138-140HP and 318-320Nm. Someone reported 150HP on a Golf with the same engine. I must add that the EGR valve is off too, though I don't know how it contributes to the result.

Evening, my dirty diesel has a turbo back de cat exhaust, egr delete and ebay special hybrid turbo. Whole lot was less than £500 and getting the following power with 55mpg. I asked Dan at Uber Tuning to play it safe as the components were new and untested. Very happy with results, no smoke and pulls like a tug with 475nm. Exhaust sounds epic under load as well. Like a racing tractor.

Nice figures but why didn't they share the pre-map readings? A dyno is more about before/after gains as a lot of dynos over-read or aren't operated correctly and the figures are inflated. Ask them for the Test0001 IV plot!

I remapped the car one year ago. The re-mapper was a reputable retrofitter who resell the maps written by a known Danish tuner. The system is like REVO when you upload pre-written software. The guy who did it for me didn't have a dyno, so I didn't know the "before" numbers.

The result I posted above is doubtful. Local re-mappers say it's impossible to squeeze 372 Nm off a 1.6 TDI, so perhaps the dyno isn't calibrated properly.

Might be worth updating this after the latest mods and tune-up session with R-Tech...

Hardware changes since last post:
- AKS 165bar fuel return valve switched out for RS4 unit
- RS3 injectors rotated 90 degrees to correct injection pattern (AKS Head mod)
- 200cel cat removed + powervalve clamped open slightly
- R-Tech ECU dyno tuning session to make use of the above

Nice result. Has the forum ever done a dyno day? Several cars, several tuners but same dyno and same day. We did it on the 944 forum and created a league table. Made for a fun day and a great resource. Also gives folks considering mods a chance to have passenger rides back to back and see what they want.

Last ASN RR day I went to was at AMD Tuning about three years ago - was a fun day out.

Would love to know what everyone's running so here is a thread for everyone to post there car spec, remapper and power gains for everyone too see and compare parts and tuners!
