Nardo needs black pack otherwise it washes out. UK not renowned for sunny days either ;)

Yeah that's true. It looks good otherwise but when there is a sunny day, you need to keep it in the shade haha. Also I got some clarification on that 55k floret silver with 5k miles. It's a demo car but actually has less than 400 miles at this moment the dealer said. His exact words are 'the maximum the mileage will be before we take it off the fleet will be 5000.' I don't know how to value a 68 plate with under 300 miles though. There's not many 68 plates out there.

Quite a few cars come up today, so looking good for me. Nice glacier white RS3 there. The only thing I'd say is that the gold alloys seem out of place, everything else is black and white.

I have to say though, this is why I won't go for Nardo. In the sun the colour just looks horrible to me.

Can honestly say my Nardo saloon has never looked anything like that in any kind of sun/shade/light since owning in from March... if it did I think I’d spew instantly haha

It's still on the garage's website so unless they haven't updated it for a month, they've either bought it from the other guys or theres 2 purple ones.

Which garage ? Also people seem to post photos of cars for sale that I never find, how ? The white one with gold wheels for example.

I've never seen a Nardo look like that, just a bad photo.

Taken last thing in the evening with a red sky. Look at the shadows cast...

Any car taken is this light, apart from black, or possibly red, wouldn't look right. White would be an orange/pink mess!

That white one is his own car lol. This is where I got the photo from. Took from an Audi dealer. I wonder if Nano grey looks any different in the sun. https://usedcars.audi.co.uk/usedcar...hp-all-wheel-drive-grey-1_GBR00779589977.htm#

That bloke taking the picture should be sacked. School boy error casting his whole shadow over the car...numpty

Thanks for the link @infernox I have now bought it....joking.

Pretty good spec with just black pack the real glaring omission

Haha I'm not interested in that car but the fact that its 68 plate with 213 miles means I can use it to haggle on the Floret Silver one I do want.

This is another 68 plate with 100 miles but I'm confused by it. The spec list says Audi Sport Pack but that exhaust looks silver. I thought the sports exhaust is always black. https://usedcars.audi.co.uk/usedcar...p-all-wheel-drive-black-1_GBR00720591917.htm#

I am currently looking at two salons.

1) Nardo with Gloss Black pack and loads of extras (additional to the option 2, SS Seats, Pan Roof, Keyless, B&O, MMI +) but it has the optional 8.5J (wider) front wheels which, according to Irish Taxation, put it at 190 grams of CO2 Fat and an annual road tax of 1,200 euro. Its a demo/ Audi Press Car with 9,00 miles and Jan 18 Reg and 75 K euro and 6.9 % APR.

2) is a lesser spec'd brand new salon with fewer options in Panther Black, road tax falls into the lower band of 189 grams and the road tax is 750 euro, at 82 k euro and 1.9% APR.

Has anyone else here has this emissions situation?

That is the extent of the stock in Ireland, only 2 in stock nationwide........ decisions decisions!

Hi mate, doesn’t sound much to choice from. We have quite a selection here in the uk, would you be willing to travel over the drink to get one in the colour and spec you want?
Or is that easier said then done. If it was me and I was spending that sort of money I would travel as far as financial possibly to get the car I want.

Sounds like a good option if possible!

The emissions situation is because of the alloys. If you get black or titanium alloys, it raises the CO2 emissions for whatever reason and raises the tax band. Surprised the new saloon has such a low APR %

Probably a stupid question, but what is stopping one “upgrading” alloys post purchase and issue of v5?

Nothing as far as I know. It was my plan when I was going to get a brand new one, leave the alloys standard and get the black ones after or as someone else has done, get them diamond cut. They might cost more than if you spec them with the car though.

In other news, theres this overpriced Army Green RS3 Saloon that just popped up. https://usedcars.audi.co.uk/usedcar...p-all-wheel-drive-other-1_GBR00402606116.htm#

It's the most expensive RS3 Saloon out there from what I can see. £58k for an 18 plate with 8,000 miles. Madness in my opinion.

Easier said than done is right. Firstly I’d have to buy the car, £45k and the car would still be subject to the VRT €18,000. It’s this Vehicle Registration Tax that’s the killer here! When I first came over the Tax Man wanted €10k on my Mk5 GTi (which had only cost me £17k)

Wow that’s some pretty hefty fees there mate. Well I suppose you have two choices then pick one or the other car that you have available or wait for the right one to show up but judging by the selection you have over there that could be sometime

Always makes me chuckle when people say “it’s overpriced” like Audi should be offering that spec of car for 40k instead

It is overpriced for £58k given that the car is an 18 plate with 8000 miles on the clock. 50k would be a reasonable asking price but hey, audi dealers will always ask wherever they feel like they want. How much do you reckon Audi would want from you if you walked into a dealer with that car and said you want to sell it right now ?

In comparison, there was an rs6 performance on for sale which had all the options you’d ever want and was in an individual mystic blue paint. 16 plate with 12k miles on the clock and on for under £65k. (Was on for sale on a specialist independent dealer).

Yep its definitely overpriced when you can get 68 plates with under 300 miles for around £50k, sure it won't have the exclusive colour and some options but the options you miss out on, personally I wouldn't want anyway like the raised top speed or ceramic brakes. 8,000 miles is a lot too for a 6 month old car.

What do you cars think of Panther Black? Is there some differences to the Mythos Black I got right now? I don't want to get the same colour but there's a good price Panther Black one around.

How does the VRT tax compare if getting on older one say 67plate?
Or waiting another year then getting a 67plate?

I have mythos, but panther is stunning, kind of purple flecks in it in certain light

+1 for Panther black and IMO the best colour to have when clean. However, it's a pain in the proverbial to keep it looking smart... a year was enough for me!
