Post pics of your B7 A4/S4!

View attachment 118459

Had it for a few months now, coilovers fitted last week. Rotiform Inds, 10mm spacers all round. Got a set of lights I'm joey modding with clear corners, and an rs4 grill on the way.

Nice mate! How much have you managed to get a grill for mate?

would old fashioned vinyl wrap work? I know it probably wont be AS good, but it would give me an idea whether i like it (for a cheaper price) and as long as its still a good finish id be happy

Personally I would go for Vinyl Wrap.

I was sceptical before but after having loads done to my car, you really cant notice the difference between it and paint especially if its wrapped well.

..and if you dont like it..simply remove it.

It gets my vote.

Oi get off my car

She had an 8 hr 1 Stage correction yesterday along with an under-chassis wash. I was a bit disappointed after I finished last night but this morning she looks awesome. Steps were
1- Auto-Glym Custom Wheel Clean along with Bilt Hamber - Auto Wheel
2- Bilt Hamber Surfax HD
3- PH Neutral Foam
4- BH Surfex HD all over again
5- Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo
6- Meguiars Clay Bar
7- Meguiars Ultimate Compound with DA.
8- Meguiars Clear Glass
9- Auto Finesse Vision Glass

SO you used the surfax as a prewash then? What's our thoughts on it? Not thought about using BH auto foam instead?

Not only as a pre-wash and post shampoo I also used it as an under-chassis wash and I was really impressed. I did think about BH Auto Foam but I had quite a bit PH Neutral left so wanted to finish it first. Since I bought the car last year i have been thinking of detailing it but never managed to get the time. And I think using Surfex HD before and after helped a lot. There was not a lot that clay bar picked up apart from lower sills.

That's interesting then.

What dilution ratio did you use it at?

Did you find no need to use a tar/glue removed with using the surfax?

200ml in a 1L spray bottle and pressure washed afterwards. To be honest I didn't need it. The elderly couple I bought the car from I don't think they ever polished the car. I have done France and Swiss Alps in the car and I was expecting it to be full of tar etc. I have used Tar remover on my S4 (you should be able to see it parked behind and in the reflection ) and I was slightly disappointed with the results. I don't like the concepts of wiping with a microfibre cloth as that's when the OCD kicks in and the thought of 'what if swirls' just scares me

Just valeted by myself (20 years experience)
1-Clay bar
2-machine buff (finesse)
3-machine polish (mirror image)
4-hand polish (autoglym super resin)
5-hand wax (autosmart carnuba wax)

Car feels and looks like glass.
