Yeah think it was an option, maybe for special edition models? Mine had them from new including full size spare so someone was ticking boxes when they ordered it
Thinking of the ecs intake which is about 300 quid just the cooler which is expensive the airtec 1 is more favorable
(almost) freshly washed and the suspension has finally settled properly after swapping from the 18" RS4's. had the mid-resonator removed today and replaced with straight stainless pipes. good lord it sounds raw at high revs... popping and smattering. much deeper and richer at low revs yet still not obscene or noisy.
Not been on for a while, and thinking of changing to an S4 Avant, but the Torque is amazing, 3.0 TDI with a re map!
Here's some on my car, before modifications. Car is a 2.0TSq or "Turbo Sport Quattro" - I think a designation they only used in Sweden(?) for the FULL S-line (exterior + interior) with the 220hp tune and larger drilled brake rotors (...). Car now has 18" S4 wheels, BMC intake, DV+ diverter valve, 034 HFC, Autotech HPFP, Milltek exhaust, ECS catch can system, RS4 rear sway bar and the JHM stage 2 tune on 98 octane (US 93 octane). Will share some new pics when I get a chance.
Needs bigger brakes(psst, selling a set 8-piston 356mm K-sport, or 380mm ceramics)!! but other than that, thumbs up
Here is mine - only got it a month ago but enjoying it so far. It’s standard just now but plan on doing some bits and pieces to it. Some aesthetic things and also some basic breathing mods as it feels a little sluggish just now (2.0 TFSI). But that’s me coming from a wee 2 litre hot hatch! Looking to start with some 18” Le Mans wheels, just trying to work out the best offset for them!
Ive got some 19inch lemans could sell you 235/35/19 et43 ive got my avant on coilies and sits perfect imo
looks very nice chap , but with a few mods will look even better. you need to get it lower really ,it makes a massive difference.....everyone says " I want to keep it standard " but it never last..lol Clear corner mod makes things look much newer and fresher , ET35 is a good offset for problem free fits . Lower it down a bit to reduce the big wheel arch gaps ….nothing silly but a bit. dare I say it " front grille" and stay with silver or light colored alloys...…. good luck chap and don't forget more piccy's rob
Thanks Rob. Plans to do the clear corner mod at some point. There are some cheap et43 Le Mans wheels on Facebook just now so may buy them and get 10mm spacers all round. Don’t want to lower it as it’s going to be used for towing my turbo clio track car once it’s built. So it will probs end up with a trailer and a boot full of tools and spares etc! (I’m trying to convince myself but will probs end up with a set up springs! Lol) What’s the front grille you speak of? Thanks mate but really looking for 18’s!
Hmm interesting. Could you message me with pics and prices on the brakes mate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ah yes , grilles...….. Only one upgrade worth doing really from an easy and effective point of view......
Some updates on my car: black optics roof rail, black optics grill, black Audi badges front and rear, S4 mirror caps.
Had a blast back in Feb/March with my S4 beasting the country lanes to work while everyone else was gridlocked on the main roads!!
Like the alloys too, colour seems to work well on your black avant , I have never had much success with dark alloys but maybe its the wheel pattern that swings it , not too much dark painted metal on the alloys to look overkill, very nice indeedy.
Hey Olympus and welcome bud! Great looking car (somewhat biased as I have a couple of Avants too) - and thanks ever so much for NOT ruining it with BLACK wheels (the work of the devil). The gunmetal colour really suits the black paint. What size are they - they appear to fill the arches very successfully!
Morning boffin486 They are Audi fitment replica bmw M3 csl 9.5J 19s on rear and 8.5J 19s on front with I think if I remember rightly a 5mm spacer on fronts for when new pads and disks are fitted at same time the sliding callipers touched the wheels (never told me that when I ordered them lol) paid £500 for the wheels new about four years ago.
And yes agreed with the no go with black wheels on black car before this I had a B7 saloon in grey and I went and put Matt black wheels on it and instantly regretted it but kept them just because they were new. But yes I do get a lot of positive comments on the current wheels just a shame they are a bmw wheel lol.. but hey
