Hey all, hope you're all well?! I've finally got myself an Audi of the S4 B9 variety. Picked it up a couple of weeks ago having traded in my 2016 Cupra 280. Hope you like it as much as I do! Cheers.......Mad Jock
Well after less than a week of ownership it’s been given the full works. Decontamination, snow foam, 2 bucket wash, clayed, hand polished and then topped up with 2 coats of DoDo juice. Not 100% there as it could really do with a machine polish.
Nice what size of spacers did you go with 12mm? Speak to DPM he’s a trader on here but the pro kit is a 20mm drop, it’s on my list of things to do but haven’t got round to it yet https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve not seen enough dry weather in about three weeks to detail mine! Looks great in Daytona with the best wheels! Haha
Nice, daytona is a lovely colour and if my previous A3 hadn't been then this would have been my first choice. Nice rear bumper mismatch of colour going on there too. Caused though by the different materials and how light reflects from them...
Hi all I'm new to the s4 forum having been on ths s3 forum for a few years Had the s4 for 2 weeks now and travelled to my daughter's from teesside to fareham Hampshire last week and am due to go back home tomorrow and the s4 frankly is such a lovely car to drive, the comfort, engine sound, the cabin space , overall a far better car than the s3 imo. I am not knocking the s3 it was a smashing car in all aspects but the s4 is a different animal. Also being 66 years young I decided a bigger saloon would be better so why not the s4. Sick of the grandsons (23, 25) asking to borrow the s3 for the day (no chance) lol. Boy racer comes to mind when I was driving the s3 so moved to s4.
Was your S3 a hatchback or saloon? I test drove the hatchback, immense fun, super quick, grippy, sounded nice (if a little manufactured) but jump in an S4 and it's a different kettle of fish altogether. Think the hatchback is just noisier and stiffer by nature than saloons.
Hmmmm, must be more sound proofing and different suspension set up in the S4. Love that colour though!
Haha as my Mrs would say it’s boy racer to old-er man racer lol. Good spec and of course the best colour. Great to have another Navarra on the forum!
I meant the S3, Ara Blue? Though I do like the Navara blue on your S4, would be the colour I'd go for if I stick with an A4 when I change in March.
Hi all now back from my daughter's in fareham my car was a mess having been caught in that ****** rain yesterday , but was up bright and early so I gave the s4 a ****** good wash and wax.
Looks like after ordering a B9, cancelling a B9, getting an S3 then realising it cost a bomb to run. I’m now actually getting a B9 in the end ! Picking it up and trading the S3 in at the end of the month. Stafford Audi have done me a great deal considering I’ve only had the S3 for under 10 months. A4 is an S-line Avant (B9.25 half facelift lol) Daytona grey 35 TDI S-Tronic with 2K miles on the clock which will do me just fine. Has half the Power of my S3 but I really can’t afford to run a hot hatch right now so I’m putting my sensible head on for a few years. I’ve now got the rest of the month to return the S3 back to standard. More pics once I get my hands on it and it gets a full Detail and ceramic coating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks great on the optional 19s too. Apart from power you’ll still have all the luxuries of a B9 and in one of the only must have colours! Enjoy!
Daytona grey looks really nice on a sunny day when it's gleaming, doesn't do too badly in hiding dirt for a while either. I've not ceramic coated mine so I'd imagine that would help the paint to pop even more. Whilst it's really nice (I did choose it for mine) I wish there were some better colour options available.
Lovely car mate I think I enquired about this car but was told someone was on a test drive . Got the dreaded call ,SOLD.
There does seem to be a distinct lack of colour choices in general. I’ve had metallic / pearl greys before and as long as they’re looked after they’re one of my favourites. My S3 is ibis white as it was a no cost option when new, although it’s not a stress causing swirl magnet like darker cars it’s just not very exiting to look at or rewarding after a proper detail. Love to see the metallic flake popping in the sun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I asked Audi if I could get a car wrapped and was told I couldn't as it altered the supplied car even though I'd have removed the wrap before returning it and in theory it would be pristine underneath. I know there's a relatively new paint that can be applied and removed, again, I'd probably be told I couldn't do this either. Shame as roads are just awash with greys, black, white and silver with the odd interesting colour every now and then. I refuse to own red (football loyalties haha)
