Hoping to retire early and just won't be doing the mileage for a diesel any more.

The majority of my cars have been hatchbacks and that is what I prefer, but I think the saloon version of the A3 is such a classy shape....particularly from certain angles, so I am more than willing to put up with a little less convenience in the loading area.

On the car ferry across Lake Constance (Meersburg to Konstanz, Germany). Also did the ferry Friedrichshafen (Germany) to Romanshorn (Switzerland).

I'd love to get a pic of my car on the forecourt outside, but dont think I'll ever get that far through Germany in this car.
I have a trip to Germany in my mind, just if it happens or not.

I drove all the way to Austria (Bregenz) as it happens. A baby of a trip compared to what I have done in the past. I have taken the old Skoda to Corsica, Sardinia etc. Most amusing a major sea crossing

Germany seemed to be doing roadworks on the entire Autobahn network. It was a nightmare actually but the scale of the investment and civil engineering was breathtaking. I didn't really have the opportunity to get the car to silly speeds. It was just too busy or limited to 2 lanes and it is not safe to be belting along when a lorry can pull out going drastically more slowly than I am. I did have some fun when possible but only got to about 130 mph and even then not for long. The car really does go like the clappers all the way to light speed. I did fill with some 100 RON petrol (Shell V-power racing available in Germany) but I didn't really notice any difference and it is very expensive.

dam looks great, id love to drive in europe, 30 of us went to Dusseldorf in May and a few of us are maybe up for driving back out, and a detour to the ring of course.
Quick phone pic when in car park a few days ago ... annoyingly though that yellow curb in the top right is where I stupidly scuffed my front right alloy (swears at self for that 1 moment lacking attention)

What a day.. Car is due an oil change + filter change, so thought I'd do it myself. Terrible idea.
Went down to halfords last week to get the oil and filter, picked up a jack + axle kit together. Did the oil change today, turns out the jack + axle kit was utter ****. The jack didn't go high enough to put the axles underneath the car. Took about an hour to get it exchange for a different jack + axles because I'd lost the receipt. Managed to get a really good jack + axle stands for "cheap" since their black friday sale is still on until the end of the week.
Thought we'd pump the oil out instead of using an oil pan (no idea why we thought this would be the better idea). Took about an hour with a hand pump. Managed to take the oil filter off too (thanks for putting it under the car Audi), only to find out the oil filter Halfords gave us is the wrong wrong.. Started at 2pm, only just finished jacking the car back down and putting everything away at 7pm.
Going to have to go to Audi tomorrow to pick up the correct filter. Car currently has no oil or filter in it, so getting to and from College tomorrow will be a laugh.
