Was pointed out by a colleague a few weeks ago that I hadn't taken any pics since I got it.
Quite a zippy little thing, and getting 800+kms from a tank is a wallet-saver right now!

Got the sun just right, so a nardo-esque pic.
Getting bored of the s3 now, there's a nardo RS3 up the road from me that sounds lovely. Hmm

Also went out yesturday and did a lovely tour around wales and some parts of the Evo Triangle. All good...'till coming back down the A5 Wrexham - Chester bypass and a safety camera van was sat on a bridge. Time to clench my butt hole for a few days...

Still unsure whether to go to 19s, I run sportlines and ride is just bearable with 18s on my s-line, but really would love some either these wheels (but not many for sale) or some glossy black. Still can't decide.

One last drive out a few days ago, sold the car yesterday. Sick of the unwanted attention, usually chavs in loud slow fiestas. I remember when I was 18 getting excited following a fully modified impreza or supra or something but I didn't sit 3mm from their bumper, more like 3-4 meters behind.
I will miss it for Saturday/Sunday drives but won't miss the attention where I live.
Also ever since I bought it people who drive past my house bang their exhausts. On Sunday night someone stopped outside and did a full launch outside my front gates. I never had this issue before I bought it. Is it supposed to impress me at 3am? I don't understand it.

14 days later without the car and no more banging exhausts outside my house and no more people stopping to do launch mode at 4am!!!. So baffling!!! I must have left the boy race hive mind. So glad.

Sorry, mucked this up, how is the wrap on you diffuser holding up as thinking of doing this instead of getting it painted.

We used 3m gloss black wrap.
it's holding on very well. we also did the chrome seals around windows which are fine too with the same material.
Would defo recommend as it didn't take much material and time so I'd imagine it wouldn't cost too much. I work at a wrap place so was free lol!

I've had the grill trim and windows done already, but the rear diffuser looks out of place now, going to get it wrapped soon.

Thanks, I have had the chrome surround on the grill and windows done already, but rear diffuser looks out of place, going to get that wrapped soon.

Got the S3 back from the body shop this week after nearly six weeks. They had the S3 almost as long as we owned it when it got walloped !

Her indoors away at a gig today, perfect time for modifications without the watchful eye

OEM RS3 grille fitted. Removal of bumper was straightforward. Grille was a perfect fit although some modifications to the tabs around the grille were needed. Not for the faint hearted !

Thanks to @8YARWY for the grille

Fitted Maxton front splitter and side diffusers. Gave the rust looking front hubs a coat of paint and repainted the front brake callipers from black to red. Ran out of time to do the rear wheels.

Also fitted some OEM Audi sport number plate holders, was hoping to put the personalised plates on but still waiting for the new V5C from the DVLA which is frustrating

All in all a productive day, took far longer than I estimated though and definitely a two man job. Also note that the YouTube videos regarding the grille swap don’t show the tab modifications needed .

Overall I’m really happy with the look of the car now, more aggressive but subtle as well !

Another point to note.

My S3 doesn’t have parking sensors so there was only one electrical coonector to pull out of the grille , assume it was the electrics for the headlight washers. Also had to disconnect the washer bottle hose.

Here’s the thing. After reinstalling everything and starting the car I got a safety system fault on the DIS. Also an Airbag warning light.

Glad I didn’t get rid of my Carista plug in scanner. Did a diagnostic and reset the Airbag fault. Don’t really know why it flagged a fault but it’s resolved.

Just beat this in mind if you take this modification on , Carista saved my bacon
