Pop'in out the air filter

Slowly giveing up on the Audi..
Runs like a pig on idle, drives ok, down on power a bit but only driving limited.
Popping sound out the air filter, boost gauge needle moves when this happens.
Checked all vaccum lines, new knock sensor wireing.
No codes at the moment
So could turbo be faulty? Something seized?
