Poor MPG

Anyone has any idea how to improve MPG . Mainly im doing work/home runs of 5 miles

There is nothing you can do, 5 miles and the engine would just be start to get to temp. If you just going to do these small runs either buy a bike or get a petrol engine, as they warn up quicker, but even then it it's not going to be good MPG

Agree mate a tdi with that size engine not good for short runs if you want mpg

Maye trust me mines a 2.7 V6 tdi and i used both no difference to be honest

Have you tried any diesel additives to clean inside or carbon clean ?

You just end up paying more money, and MPG will not be affected. Premium diesel is not like premium petrol which has a high ron so better performance.

You may as well go down the terraclean route, that may give you slightly better MPG, but these short runs are not doing the V6 much good.
