PLEASE PLEASE HELP FUEL FILTER HOUSING

Hi there my son has a 2007 a3 tdi 170bhp sline really stuck went to change the fuel filter but only one of the f*****g stupid bolts that hold the fuel filter housing lid down would undo, broke a socket head star head bolts trying to do it .

ANY HELP WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED MANY THANKS.

Have you soaked it with copious amounts of WD40 or any other penetrating oil (3 in 1 etc)?

Just a update me and the brother inlaw got it done we had fingers crossed at the same time
