hi all so sorry to ask,my car Audi 2014 s3 has been fine lately and on my way home the engine light Came on,had the code read and it’s coming back with p0011 code,it says camshaft position actuator A-bank 1 timing over advanced, can some one please shed some light on this please as at the moment I’m feeling I wished I’d never bought the dam thing, contacting garage I bought it from as they have had it the other week and said it had some sort of valve fitted near the gear box,due to the missing sometimes on takeover, And also noticed when just letting it go in traffic it’s pulling it’s self along at 1500rpm never did that before they had it,I’m feeling they have touched something they haven’t told me about?
I’m very greatful of any advice over this as I’m sick of the garage fobbing me off with their bulls**t now,
Thank you all

Know how you feel mate, was in the same situation with garages not being helpful until I had enough and took my s3 to a specialist. I had the same fault code as you and the garage I took it to had diagnosed it as a faulty inlet cam adjuster since my light was only coming on intermittently. He replaced that part and it fixed the issue, been fine ever since (touch wood). I completely understand how you feel with the frustration of garages just fobbing you off especially considering that the issue on my car had came up three weeks in to ownership and the dealer was just a pain in the backside to deal with. Cost me about £100 all in to get sorted, hope this helps. Please let me know how you get on.
