Hi,

I have a 2011 A3 8p Quattro sportback.

I'm currently running Mk6 R struts/shocks and Racingline springs .... The ride is apalling, at least around where I live in Canada .... Highways and the lot, you can feel the slightest road imperfections.

I am now looking at getting some eibach lowering springs .... Anyone have experience switching from S-Line to eibach pro-kit springs on there 8P Quattro?

-What was the ride like compared to stock?
-was it firmer or softer?
-was it more comfortable than a stock S3 8p?
-are they linear?
-how much do they drop the car front in back after they are properly settled ?

Eibach says there kit lowers the car 1.2 inches front and back .... Is this actually true? If so it's likely to cause serious take I believe ?

Please chip in ....

Got pictures???? Add them

Thank you

Why not send a PM to @DamienP who is the performance guy where you would get some good advice or look in the handling section on the site and see what the guys are saying .

Yes just done this.

What was the ride like compared to stock?

Better, the bumps and road imperfections are less harsh.

-was it firmer or softer?

Slightly softer, and feedback from steering and chassis is reduced slightly, but at the same time there’s slightly less understeer, probably due to the front springs being softer than rear.

-was it more comfortable than a stock S3 8p?

Definitely more comfortable than my mates stock S3.

-are they linear?

Yes

-how much do they drop the car front in back after they are properly settled ?

Over standard S-Line height, about 10mm.

Awesome .... Thanks for the feedback JimS3 ....

This was on a A3 Quattro right? Or S3?

Was the drop even front to back?

Got a picture of the springs or the car with them fitted ?? ....
Also dp_motley started a thread that's now pinned and I'm sure a pic would be a good contribution to that thread as well.

Cheers
