Pioneer tv/dvd/radio issues

Hello, sorry if this has been asked previously. I have a a4 b7 sline 140 on a 55 plate.
It currently has a pioneer tv/radio/cd player but I cant connect to bluetooth. The unit does have the option of telephone and bt on screen but it is not selectable.
My phone has detected and paired with the car but whenever someone rings I cant hear any thing from the call. How do i start hearing things?

Does it show up as a call in the head unit?

Is this a new install or existing?

It was installed when I bought the car second hand.

It it a pioneer avh-p41000vd.

The calls show on the actual dashboard where the amber circle is.
