if anyones close to their PFL sportback. Any chance you could have a look to see if the under bonnet front rubber weather strip is held on with clips to the bonnet or double sided tape. I reckon mines been bodged.

I just have had a look for you. It looks like it is bonded together with some type of adhesive. Not double sided tape. Hope that helps

Cheers mate. Been to see the guys that refitted it. There going to get me a new one. You can see in the pictures circled where the conical clips should be. Snapped off.

Had a new one fitted today. Not even a mention of why they fitted it with double sided tape when they broke it. Almost like if they could get away with it if its hidden or never seen, just do it.

It doesn't surprise me for one second... A few years back I took my A4 quattro in to main dealer for a service. All seemed fine for a couple of weeks. I thought I should check the oil level and when I did the dipstick finger ring just fell off. I noticed that the ring had been Araldited back on. The techie got away with it for two weeks .lol
