Need help in identifying what and where the PCV is please!

That's it, apparently there is a diaphragm in there which breaks down or gets holed but its a sealed unit.

didnt think diesels had a PCV valve

Apatantly it's a CVC. But does the same sort of thing so I have been told.

so is this it then? and what is the correct name for it? heard its worth changing and does not cost much

This is the CVC. But on this model it's built into the rocker cover. You can't replace the individual part. It costs about £160

maybe try just replacing the breather line that leads up to it? i checked it out on the parts data base and it can be done
