Part number query...

hi,

A recent scan of my car showed a faulty light switch. I’m looking to replace with a second hand one from eBay - now the part no question.

It is 8V0941531 but there are options with AR, AA, N after the part number. Is it safe to assume they’re just revisions and that the switch will work as the original?

No, those are different options like auto lights, fog lights etc, not the same.

Thanks, however I’ve checked that it’s the same configuration (bi xenon/auto lights/front fogs), all that seems to be different is a new icon on the fog lights and a different letter at the end of the part number. Some come from slightly newer A3s/TTs etc...

Just wondering whether they are simply revisions of the same item.
