Hi guys,
my parking module is faulty and I am having trouble finding one with the exact part number (8P0 919 475 F), so my question is, does it matter if I find one with a part number 8P0 919 475 G? will this work on my car please?

yeah that will work last letter is just a revised unit or software or the like

Just looked online and am I right I thinking you’ve just got rear sensors? If so 8P0919475 F or C, M or G should do it buddy. What’s up with the control unit you have? Personally I’d go with the G revision as it’s the most recent model

Yes only rear sensors on the car. I have one long beep when I put the car in reverse and then nothing, I have checked the sensors and none of them click or vibrate when I put my finger on them. I did have the car plugged into a computer at my local specialist for another problem and that came back with "PARKING AID 2, 16347 Control unit defective". Thanks for the info I really appreciate it.

No worries mate always happy to help. Hope you sort it buddy if I can help anymore feel free to give a shout

There is a similar model on ebay 8X0 919 475 G would this work do you think?

That was fitted to the A1 and Q3 I think. If it were me I’d put the 8P0 unit in. But if you can return it a suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try it.

Check for water damage to the module, sometimes the pins become corroded & a clean revives it, however it could have burnt the board too.

Depending on your year as remember there are 2 sensor sizes, so make sure to get the module that suits your setup.

G is facelift with 19mm sensors rear only, earlier sensors were 22mm.

That’s why I’d have said to wait to the 8P0 unit. Though to be fair like Nigel says give it a check for water. I’m not gonna lie I’ve not seen many units go faulty on their own. It might have took a swim. Though double check your three connectors for the hateful green of rotted wires
