wanting to know what my options are

i have got a 1998 with the black trims on the front and back bumpers
wanting to know if they car be sprayed or if you just replace them with different skirts

and if so where from and total costs

any help or information would be great

they can be sprayed afaik but they must be sanded down and made smooth and then primered with plastic primer

My friend got a quote to fully colour code his sliver A3, they said £300.

You can do it yourself by getting supplies from paints4u.com. You need to sand down the plastic, to get it smooth otherwise the primer won't stick. You then prime it, on silver I'd say white primer is better. Once it's dry and even, you spray three or four coats of paint on, and then finally a bit of lacquer.

Silver is the hardest colour to match as well though, so be careful.

Yeah on a silver car id be tempted to say just pay a bodyshop to do it.

There are plenty of lower bumper replacements around for the front that look ok.

Skirts id just have them painted

Rear bumper not sure perhaps find a projectztwo rear or perhaps even just leave it as is

cool thanks for your help will prob have a go at painting them myself
but only when i have go tthe money to get it sprayed by a pro if it dont work out right
