I managed to do my fronts today, I did try and get some high temp lacquer but had no luck with my local shops so I shall see how it goes without the lacquer
I haven't been pulled for them yet so I'm unsure as I bought the car with the tints on, but when I give the windows a clean and in day light they are very light and don't even look tinted, so I am not sure

I would highly recommend getting lacquer on they calipers before they get dirty... The lacquer changes the colour slightly, gives you a deeper red shiny finish! (And far easier to clean)
Check the pics I did with Gloss black on my S3 calipers on the 1st page... High temperature gloss black paint, round about £9 from Halfrauds, maybe get it cheaper if you shop around...
Also get a wire brush and pre-paint prep wipes... I painted mine on, saves about an hour on masking up time for each corner... Painting them on is more precise, but leaves a slightly thicker finish.. Get 2 sizes of brushes, a small paintbrush and an artists paintbrush for your lines.....
Standard Jack is more than adequate for doing your calipers... Jack it up, wheel off and place under your axle incase of any accidents... Wire brush your calipers and take all the dirt you can off.. Get your prepaint wipes in about it and wait 5 minutes... Apply 3 coats to get a good finish (and laquer if spraying), (Also leave around 30 minutes in between applying each coat) you can easily put the wheel back on (Carefully) and let the caliper dry (Just don't drive) then repeat the process all the way round. Don't drive the car for at least 3-4 hrs after painting to let them set properly or leave the car overnight if possible....
Good luck and hopefully thats all the info you need!
