Hey everyone,
Ive had my S3 for a few months now, as soon as I got it I was concerned about how rich it was running (within 2 days the back of the car is covered in fuel smoke) Ive just taken it in for a service and have been informed that the previous person has removed all of the oxygen sensors from the car.

It has the following engine mods, APR Stage 2 ECU, Turbo Back Exhaust, DV & Dogbone, BMC Carboni CAI. I have spoken to the people at APR etc and no one can understand why the oxygen sensors have been removed.

Does anyone have any explanation as to why someone would remove these before I set about getting them put back on?

Was the engine management light not on? Should have been if they aren't there.

The mechanic said whoever removed the sensors deleted the codes
from the ecu so it wasn't showing any issues.
Economy wasn't great around 450km to a tank.
Basically from what we can gather its had the o2 sensors removed, the apr put in and a tune that was supposed to run it all the time.
Very strange practice, I just can't understand why?

I rekon he took them out to replace found out thr £115 each and just reset the management light saved himself the ££££. And let u take the bill. There would b no reason to take them out don't make sense.

270miles per tank isnt so bad if your driving it hard thats 20.5mpg
