Outer door handle trim

Hi can anyone advise on the removal of the outer door handle trims so I can re-paint them? Cant see how they are attached are they clipped on or bonded on. - 2000my A4 B5 1.8 T quattro. Thanks guys.

The door handle itself bolts on from the inside and has a link connected to it too. They are fiddly to refit and you can end up scratching the bodywork if yiu are not careful
