Today we tuned our first ‪#‎audi‬ ‪#‎8v‬ ‪#‎rs3‬ using the DTUK MP-T Multi-Protocol Tuning System

Stock figures 367ps and 465nm
Tuned figures 409ps and 527nm

http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/vehicle-audi_rs3_2.5-tfsi-367-ps-(2015-)

currently on offer to members for £599 inc vat

-----------------------------------------
Our customer has recently sold his tuned ‪#‎vw‬ ‪#‎golf‬ ‪#‎7r‬ and found that the RS3 was lacking something in standard form. With the box installed on the preset (409PS) his feedback was "noticeable increase in mid range torque, I was running out of road" .. As the system is adjustable which allows us to potentially unleash some extra horses and torques, we adjusted the box and sent the customer for another test drive. His feedback this time was "insert expletives felt even sharper and yet again stronger over my first test"

We've sent him on his way back to Leeds and look forward to his feedback later this week .

We have another local customer popping in later this week, so if the weathers a bit drier we may try and fire up the V-box

its damp today, but we did manage a 3.9 0-60 which i didnt think was too bad as the car was struggling for traction

Impressive considering it was damp, 3.8 seconds or under will have me sold !

Well the weather forecast is rubbish for the rest of the week, so a damp 3.9 is were we are for now

funny, my wife asked me what i wanted for xmas earlier. keeping a close eye on this :)

do you guys have an "at the wheels" dyno comparison between stock and with your box fitted? Not looking for maximum power figures, just want to see the difference in actual "wheel" power over the rev range.

How can anyone buy an Rs3 from owning a golf and find it lacking in standard form? Have they driven the same Rs3 and golfs I have?

dyno sheets from DTE - note that these are with the module set to "preset" and from our own experience going to the + settings certainly makes a difference to how the car feels on the road

I'd be more interested In 100-200kmh times than 0-60 times.

correct me if I'm wrong but does that show that the wheel power is 293 as standard and then tuned 349?
not sure what line is what on each of the sheets.

my german is not so good lol

still not as dry as it should be, not bad with a half tank of fuel and a fat lad driving it :)

The Green line at the bottom is calculated transmission loss which as you can see gets quite large as RPM increases it's calculated 79.1 PS loss at 5840 RPM which is where max power is seen.
The orange line running through the middle is torque in NM.
The blue line is power measured at the wheel and the red line is corrected calculated flywheel hp.
The red line is the result of the blue line plus the green line and it is then corrected for standard temperature and pressure.
Thats why there are all the temperature and pressure readings in the bottom right of the diagram.
At 5840 RPM the measured power was 349.8 PS and the calculated transmission loss 79.1 PS so 349.8 + 79.1 = 428.9 PS
The correction is done according to 80/1269/EEC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directive_80/1269/EEC

Iso 1585

As cars make more power as pressure increases and temperature decreases you need to correct the results given to a standard temperature and pressure and in this case that is 1000 hpa and 24.85 degrees C.
As the measurement was done somewhere cold the intake air temp was only 9.4 degrees and the ambient 14.2 and pressure was above 1000 hpa the measured value is reduced to the corrected or normalised 409.8PS which is actually 403.4 bhp .
This appears to be referenced against the standard cars 367PS which is 362 bhp.
So the tuning box is adding in this case 41.4 BHP at the peak about 11.5 % extra .
But as stated above this seems not to be with the box in the max mode so who knows how much that is ? .

this is killing me. want one soooooo bad. Andrew you know my reasons for not buying at the minute (we spoke via email about not quite being in the financial position so near to xmas)

Its so tempting to just stick one on the Credit Card :racer:

Been out again tonight, different road but the same result

The website is currently offering 6 months interest free credit

I'll look at the numbers. Would the £599 still stand via the website with the finance offer?

Not even getting mine till March but i think this will be on the cards but on the other hand would like to know how others get one with it as i don't want mine to go pop, not saying it will but things you hear always get you thinking...

That kit will be shipped tomorrow for delivery Thursday Thank you and enjoy..
I'm useless at fitting kits are there fitters who can fit box I'm I'm Northampton

Yrs but they would charge you for the service, and honestly it's really simple.
