as the title says really haha

right when i start the car i get sound that i can only explain as what the title is, its more recognisable inside the car than outside...

could it be the waterpump?

Turbo?

They usually sound like a police siren when they're about to 'go'.

Could be the secondry air pump, mines sounds like a dyson on helium

Isnt the secondary air pump, going from your sig im guessing your cars the BAM engine, or possibly AMK, if so then it wont have a SAI pump.

correct my car is AMK, and did justbhave a quick search about it and came to that comclusion, so we think its the turbo :-(

Lol have a feel about ........ Take the tip off...... Car porn

Either that was funny innuendo or I'm immature !

Haha children. No worries mate. Have you checked the boost pipe coming off the turbo to the charge pipe to see if its split or standard to come off?

Hi Knoxie

i have had a similar noise from deep inside the dashboard (mine is a tdi!)
is your stereo dead for an hour or so after the noise ?

i have no idea what caused it but think we may both have same noise
it's from inside the car for sure.

Regards
Rick

yea tbh it does sound like its inside the car, my mate rekons it sounds similar to a squelling pigglet haha

no i have an aftermarket stereo and always have power to it, but i does keep coming up cd error/ ipod error :-s

now your saying things like this i can actually hear it as the climate control, and i have been trying to keep a mental log of when its doing it and when its not, it always does it on start up (could be a flap adjusting).

if my climate control is on (very rare!!) you can hear it untill i boot it then engine, exhaust and numerous rattles take over!!

im very wary of noises in my car as its my first turbo, and would rather catch a problem early before it causes problems

It's not the starter motor is it? Thats a common one , no one mentioned it yet, so i thought I would lol.
