OK so I bought a 1.8T & got the Oil Pressure Warning. Oil pump job in the pipeline!

B7 would be the same engine, it's more down to the service history than anything. If I was buying a 1.8t for peace of mind I would do the job anyway, I would also replace the cam chain tensioner pads, the oil pump tensioner pad and then it should be good to go. The 1.8t is a really good engine and will take a thrashing as long as the oil and filters are done regularly.
I can't believe the original poster bought the car, had the problem, resolved the problem then sold the car, just crazy.
