The above has just come on ,on my a4 3.0v6, much to worry about ?
cheers

Is it an oil level light or a pressure light?

If its pressure then yes it could be a worry

If its level top it up asap

IMO oil should be check on a regular basis its a very essential part of the motor

oil is changed every 10,000 without fail, its the sensor warning, nout wrong with pressure or levels, i reckon its come loose in the pan or a dodgy wire, just wanted some clarifacation it was ok to use as normal ?

If the level is fine and your sure its not pressure then it will be fine to use

Like you say it could be the sensor or wiring

i certainly wouldnt run it with any oil light... even if the leval is ok you need to scan for faults before you go any further. atleast this will help determin if its a failed sensor or somethink further afield that will cause major failure...

Well that was an easy fix, never worry if this error occurs it was simply the sensor becoming slightly dislodged in the oil pan, pushed back on, 6.2 litres of castrol edge later job done !

Hi

I've just had the same fault show up on my 2.5tdiQ.

Is the sensor obvious/easy to find?
And is it just a case of dropping the oil and removing and replacing or repositioning the sensor?

Thanks
Jim
