Oil question for 3.0 tdi

Euro Car Parts have a good deal on this oil: Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF 5W-30 5Ltr

I believe the type of oil (in the Shell range) recommended for the Audi 3.0tdi is the AV-L version.

Question is, for non-longlife servicing, does it matter between these 2 oil types?

The AF oil doesn't meet VAG 504.00 / 507.00 so personally I wouldn't use it. It probably is a quality oil and if it's only going to do 10K or less would probably be OK.
Quantum LL 03 meets the spec and is what I would use. You get 5L instead of 4L so not really that much more expensive for the correct oil.

cheers desertstorm, i'll leave it in this case. Don't want to put the wrong oil in.
