I have a 59 plate 2.0 tdi 170 A3 quattro sportback.
I put my winter wheels on today and found that the front passenger side wheel on the inside was coated in oil, as was the steering arm and the drive shaft, all the boots are OK and not leaking, I could see what looked like a small drip of oil on the engine mount just behind the wheel arch but I could not see where the leak is coming from, the oil was pretty black so I have cleaned it up and will have a look again tomorrow to see if I can see what colour it is.
Anyone have any ideas where it might be coming from.
