Any help in pin pointing this would be greatly appreciated. Had an oil leak for a while, getting worse now though. Seems to be down the back of the engine block near the turbo. Very hard to see though. Took it to the local VW specialist garage, who changed the timing belt, which was due anyway, and because he said he'd have to do that to look for the leak. Changed the rocker cover whilst doing this but said couldnt find the source of the leak. Took it to another VW specialist who said it was the camshaft seal, changed that, but still pouring oil. Thinking next step could be to take it the Audi themselves, but am avoiding this. Any clues as to the cause would be appreciated as spending a fortune on oil at the moment, even though it is getting a regular oil change as a result! Many thanks

what supposed VW "specialists" did you take it to who can't locate an oil leak!!

turbo feed line is a good shout

Many thanks. I'm in North Wales, took it to Wilsons in Rhuddlan first, then to VWAudi in Manchester. Both said need to strip everything and still not found it. Might take it back and advise them to look at your suggestions, many thanks. Could this bring up a fault code on the turbo by any chance?

why don't you visit someone like Bill Brockbank at Badger5, he is in Gloucester, so a trip over the border, but well worth it, and he will guarantee to diagnose the fault.

Saves you messing about taking it to multiple places, for so far a poor diagnosis of the issue when one journey to his place will solve the problem, or at least identify it
