I know this has been asked before but everyone seems to have a different opinion.

Usually I use 5-30 Fully Synthetic (504.00/507.00 grade)

I've got quite a large quantity of 5-40 F/S Miller PD oil that conforms to 505.00/505.01

Is this oil suitable for the 2.0 TDI on fixed (10k) interval servicing? the service book seems to say yes, but as said previously there are lots of opinions.

It'll be fine IMO. The 507 is about the low ash content or something, so as long as you don't leave it in for the AUDI's stupid 2years/18,000miles intervals it will be fine IMO. Every 6k is a better bet!!

The 505.01 is listed as approved for the TDi140 engine in my 2004 manual for fixed service intervals - but I'm not sure its ok if you have a later engine with the particulate filter.

If the exhaust tips point down, you haven't and its OK. If the exhausts are straight out like a petrol car exhaust, its got a particulate filter and I'd check again.....
