Hi everyone,
Help much needed please??
Ok so after rebuilding my beloved A3 8pa 2.0tfsi quattro
I am struggling to buy a decent quality replacement window master switch oem part no
4F0 959 851, 4F0959851F,
I just purchased a pattern one from autodoc and on the face of it the quality looked good, but when fitted it quickly became apparent this part was so badly designed!
when depressing any of the 4 window buttons they would stick due to them being ever so slightly to big for the aperture.
Now I have to try to return an iffy part to Germany and try to recoup p&p from them also,
I'm happy to buy pattern so long as good quality AND FIT,
Or even a fair priced oem part? the best I have so far is £63 from TPS,
Where can you actually find OEM parts online I've searched low and high but can't find anything anywhere???
Any of your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

but with postage comes to around the same price as tps. etka list price for the part is £66.65.
when it comes to parts like this, where the aftermarket isnt really an option, you either have to pay the price or leave it. you could try facebook, theres a couple seat/skoda dealers selling parts on there,eg. "***** online" but from when i enquired about parts they arent really that much cheaper than list.

what about a second hard part?
or a chinese special

sometimes the chinese parts are scarily similar to oem, like the mist jet washers that looked 99% original and work perfect

Newsflash: most of the products are manufactured in China but then get quality inspection and stamps in Germany/Austria.

Chinese parts can be super good, they only didnt have had a quality inspection and brands for the EU etc

Think that's a little oversimplified tbh.

It's a coin toss regarding quality when it comes to unbranded Chinese parts. Look at unbranded Chinese pcv and dv on ebay, they never work.

Sure a part made in China following the specification of a European company with the quality control is place will result in a good product, but as with anything in China you can have whatever quality you want as long as you pay for it

Julian,
I have one of these off my last 8p. I had replacement seats and door cards so they were stripped off those along with all the trims etc. PM me if you want to discuss, sure we can work something out if your interested.

Some valid points also bud but I must say esen brand is what I bought from autodoc and I believe if I read right these are
German quality stamped....
This begs the question of the integrity or standards of the quality approval tests in the first place if they don't even fit where they are supposed to?
But many thanks for your much valued input mate

Ofcourse some parts are manufactured within the EU. But I know that the PCB’s within the modules mainly come from China mainland.
