Odd answers from an Audi main dealer..

Took car for a haldex service yesterday and asked them to change the haldex filter to. Also I'd recently took the glovebox out to mend the broken damper, this caused the Airbag light to come on the dashboard (common as I've read on here).

Now when I picked the car up the told me they don't stock haldex filters?! So does it sound right that Audi doesn't keep Audi parts then?? They also told me they cannot turn the airbag light off due to safety issues?

Sounds a bit hooky to me...

Air bag light is a simple clear of the stored code, did you explain what you did?

Yes mate left a note on the dash. Can get it cleared at the local garage.

They won't turn the Airbag light off as they need to investigate what caused the issue first.

If it's the newer haldex then it won't even have a filter, it's just an oil change. Older ones have filters, they probably don't stock the filters as older cars generally don't get serviced at the main dealer (you'd assume someone would order one in advance when the car is booked in) but all dealers work differently so who knows
