This issue has been frustrating me for a while now. The car is perfectly drivable but there is an issue nevertheless.
When I accelerate under load the engine hesitates and I can hear a whooshing noise as if air pressure is building and/or escaping. the engine shows the fault code P0135 (O2 sensor) .
I have changed the O2 sensor as well as several perished breather pipes, MAF sensor, spark plugs, coil packs over the last few months. The car ran better after all that work and the light went out for a day or so, however the light came back on and the whooshing and light came back.
I've striped all the breather pipes and TIP to check for air leaks and other perished pipework but everything looks fine.
One thought I had was a sticking wastegate but I'm not sure that's correct as the surging happens at low speed so wastegate probably wouldn't be open at that point. Any thoughts/ advice welcome.
