O/S front door lock not working off fob

I've got a 2009 s line, has anyone else had this problem? Common fault? The rest of the central locking is fine, just the drivers door.

Same here with the rear door.

Just has this on rear o/s the other day, scanned with VCDS and it showed a fault on the door lock, fairly common according to Audi...only happened once so not replacing it yet...

My passenger door does this randomly... Anyone know if it's a failing solenoid?

I got this part for the rear door. It's called a latch. Off eBay

Common n fault. Symtons include Door only open from inside, once car unlocked using key fob i.e. central locking.

Part is shared with q5

Different part number, but vcds will tell you if not ekta a parts system. Or call audi dealer.

Two options buy brand new around 90 pounds or risk using a used part.

Yes difficulty level 8.

Door card comes off, door needs striping right Down.

But I think you need to fully check with vcds first you have the same problem. Read my symptoms and Google other threads too.

Had the same problem on the passenger front door, luckilly my car is still under warrantly but I did the same thing on a MK4 Golf, a complete pain in the backside and after I'd finished it I swore I'd never do it again.

Does seem like its a weakness with VAG group cars.
