Number Plate Fixing

I thought I'd treat mine to 3D gel plates, and perhaps some Audi Sport surrounds. I hate screws through the number plates!

Does anyone have any tips, recent experience on securing numberplates without screws?

the company you order the plates from (I got my 3D gel plates from number1plates.com for the RS and currently on my S3) supply/provide the sticky pads, I opt for an extra set and make sure they are STUCK on there!

Halfrauds do sell 2 types of pads, thick spongy and thin. The thinner ones are very sticky and seem to be the most effective. They only cost £3 per pack.

If you are using the surround, then it is that which is screwed and the number plate sits over the top? Hence no screws through the plate.

That's exactly what I do, it's simple and personality it looks better.

Pressed plates here... secured with Wurth double sided tape

I used to have the ABT black surrounds you put the number plate into, but they are quite bulky so took them off.
