[Nov 13, 2016] KINGS LYNN DEALERSHIP MEET (KINGS LYNN)

Next meet is at Kings Lynn Audi Dealership. Would like to thank Fraser Burdett (Head of Business) Mark Dockeril (Marriott Motor Group) for inviting members of audi-sport.net along to visit their dealership. The meet will consist of a workshop tour, refreshments and some fabulous motors to test drive. The provisional cars so far include:
New A3 (facelift)
New A4
Q3
TT
There will be S or RS model as well but will be decided nearer the time subject to availability
Licence requirements are:

Licence must be provided. Due to changes in the law about the counterpart of photo licence you must have your National Insurance Number with you on the day as this is required to be checked on the DVLA site on the day.

Drivers must be 21 years of age have no more than 6 points on their licence and not had a motoring ban in the last 3 years to drive selected cars. (non RS models)

The RS models that are not confirmed yet will be available for test drives and the driving requirements for this are you must be 30 years old and have no more than 6 points and not had a motoring ban in the last 3 years.

Please remember these are expensive cars and when driving them, Please drive carefully and safely.

Quick update on this meet. The meet starts at 11am. You also get to see the new Q2 as it launches on that weekend, so that's a nice bonus.

After all this time it will be good to meet up with some members , see the new Q2 (which does look very nice ) , get to see around the dealership & of course drive some nice cars .

After a long trip up unfortunately dealership seemed unaware of our visit and had nothing prepared, I feel this was a disappointment for people that had spent the time to organise it and for people who travelled to get there.

I'll start this by saying thank you to all that made effort to turn up today.From the impression I got from the sale's guy I spoke to when I arrived they were only made aware that a small group from a internet web site would be here today to look at the show room and that was that.
I never saw him again may be that's because I told him what had been arrange for us at Bury St Edmunds audi back in 2015 so I didn't hang around for long either.

Kings lynn Audi what a let down again.
1st time when I went to look at a used car with them about 6 months ago when they couldn't give me the time of day
2ndtime today when the ignored us for about 20 minutes and only when I asked where the cars were to test drive the sales guy said no one was here to do it. Only had time for real customers. Mind you I have only brought 5 audis in the last 4 years and one as a direct result of going to one of these driving events

I have kept it polite just said I am a bit disappointed.

Not sure what to say about today . Sandra must have spent a lot of time organising this meet & again thanks to Sandra
We set off with two very excited children , enjoyed a nice drive over to the dealership . When we arrived the lady on
reception seemed confused as to what was meant to be happening .then we were questioned by a member of the sales team as to what we were expecting from the day
It was then over 45 mins later we were updated by the same guy that no cars were available to drive but that we were welcome to look round the cars . We asked about the price for a Audi go kart that both our children had tried & we were very interested in & the guy just said " £200 ish & walked off" .
All round very disappointing & we drove home with two upset children
