Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good specialist in the North East as I’ve got a service due in a month? I’ve always used specialists in the past for other vehicles and happy to take any recommendations here. Appreciate any advice in advance!

I’ve not been personally but JM imports seem to get a lot of RS3s through the door, not just for tuning.

I’m sure they can update the Audi digital service history too.

They’re in the middle of building a TTRS for a ‘fastest in Europe’ attempt so will no doubt know their way around the platform very well.

Appreciate it! Used to use JM for my R35, really (really) knowledgable about the R35 but wasn’t impressed with customer service at all tbh, had I not sold it I wouldn’t have gone back again I’d have gone elsewhere for its next service or any other work. I might still give them a call and see what they say.

Surprised to hear that, appreciate biggest isn’t always best but they do come across well. BTG performance are revo dealers so get a few through the door as well, that’s where I went to get mine mapped. Nothing to say positive or negative tbh just that they’re there lol.

Also performance centre in Sunderland, pretty sure they can update Audi history etc, they can for bmw. They’ve had a few fair few RS3s and very nice lads, went down for a bit crack and very nearly went with them before going the Revo route. They’ll be much more reasonably priced than the above as well.

They do, but had the odd condescending comment/conversation when talking about jobs and pricing (as if everyone can just afford the most expensive jobs needing done without even noticing they spent the money) and then my car was used one night to presumably take someone’s kids to McDonald’s because there was wrappers and rubbish in the back the next day on pickup, greasy fingerprints and mud off shoes presumably on the back of the front seats. Maybe little things but I wasn’t happy.

Revo, performance centre and swift keep coming up the more I look about on other forums too not just here. Think I’ll do revo or swift, just wish there was one definitive favourite specialist/indie in the north east like JM for the R35, makes the decision making much easier

Guessing you’re Newcastle way? Performance centre actually had an rs3 as a staff car for a couple of years , tuned, so they deffo know their way around the car.

Given the choice of what is listed above I would go with BTG. Most indie garages can update your digital service history these days but finding a clean garage with people who respect your car is difficult. I’ve had my alignment done at BTG and I can’t stand taking my car anywhere I prefer to do everything myself, but they were actually quite respectful with my car and you can literally sit and wait and see everything that’s going on, so you know they’re not taking the mick. I think they might be a little higher priced but still better than Audi.

The only other suggestion I would have is if you intend to get the car tuned or it’s already tuned, then service it where it’s tuned from, even if you have to travel a little. My previous tuner I travelled 6 hour round trip to get it serviced there make sure no issues, I’m now tuned by MRC and I would happily travel to their Scottish premises or even the one in Leeds for a service. If I didn’t then personally I would use BTG. Any excess servicing i complete myself I only pay garages to service the Audi schedule.

Depending on how far you want to travel, Moorfield German Car specialist's in Yeadon West Yorkshire look after mine. Fairly easy to get to from the A1.

Just come across this post while scrolling through. Another garage to consider is vwx automotive near Hexham. I’ve used this garage since he left vw Hexham as a master tech and started up on his own. Super respectful of your motor and very knowledgeable
