Non MMI hidden menu

Hi all, looking to turn ambient lighting on in a B8 with concert radio but need the hidden menu. This site (http://www.audienthusiasts.com/VagComINLight.html) says that you can enable the MMI menu even on a concert radio, is this correct? thanks

I believe there is no hidden menu on the Concert /symphony radios. I have found one on mine anyway. You will need either Carista, OBD11 or VCDS to activate it.

I was thinking carista, can I use the vdcs software with carista?

No you can't but you don't need to. Carista has its own App to do the Mods with. I have both and use Carista more on a day to day basis.

Yea definitely. Its a lot easier to turn off a service light with.

and can I still do things like activate daytime running lights etc?

yea you can do all sorts with it. If you want to do all the customization you normally have to pay a subscription. but I think they are doing a month trial free at the moment so you can do them all before it runs out.
