Noisy lifters when cold

Since I got the car I have noticed that when the engine is cold I can hear a ticking noise around 2000rpm which falls and rises with the engine speed. This eventually disappears after a few minutes of driving (usually longer when the outside temp is colder). I have a 130PD and I am fully aware of the issue of worn cams on some of these engines so this has made me paranoid that the issue could related?

Oil levels are fine and I just changed the oil last weekend with Castrols finest and it still does it. Interestingly, the ticking only happens around 60-70% of cold starts.

Any suggestions?
