Hi all, just a quick question my 2006 A3 2.0TDI has just started making a vibrating sort of noise from the drivers side wheel only when steering, if driving or reversing straight it makes no noise nor does anything feel wrong when driving.

Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? it has done 52k miles.

Do you mean turning into a roundabout/bend or when at full lock doing parking manoeuvre?

hi, sounds like a wheel bearing. They are prone to bearing failure around that mileage.

The missus says when turning but I have only heard it when doing slow driving or parking manoeuvre.

I have the exact same problem with mine , slow driving and parking from the drivers side . Its been in arnold clark 7 times and the main dealer twice still the same . It wasnt a bearing that was done last week now changing the break set up disk , calipers and pads . did you get any joy with yours?
